The human being and the animal world
Up to the age of nine, children do not differentiate clearly between their own inner life and the world outside. They experience the animals as brothers ans sisters who can speak and act as human beigns. Types of animals have been characterised in the fable which they have been told in their early years. Now the separation comes into self and the world. By showing animals in their relationship to the humain being, the bridge is rebuilt and understanding fostered. Roy Wilkinson
